The beach normally works when everywhere else is blown out. Due to the pier anyone can havea go here as it small on the right of the beach as you look at it and grows to the left. It a bit sloppy but does have its good days. If it is really big then check out "The Point" which is mentioned.
Atmosphere
Started surfing here in 1969 !! Due to easy access, sheltered beach, sandy bottom and very little rips this is a fun place But the waves are not great !! but can be fun. In the summer it gets really crowded with holiday makers and the fun fair in front of the beach makes for an interesting backdrop. Best time in the winter and no parking problems.
General
This well never make the top 10 !! but when the weather is bad this is the place to get a wave.

Coney Beach - How can you tell who's closest to the peak when the whole fucking thing closes out anyway? this is the fundemental problem with the place, everyone is closest to the peak therefore everyone is quite within THEE surfing law. Nah, that's shit, slag the place off if you like but you've all had a good wave here haven't you? perhaps not a good wave in a superbank kinda way but a good wave in as much as you've either stood up for the first time or done your first re entry or 360 or air or whatever, Coney is as fun or as shite as you want to make it, not the best wave in the world but better than smoking crack with a 2b pencil in your arse (just)

Rubbish - this place is quite simply the worst place u'l ever surf. Its a big fat closeout and as the views...not exactly paradise.
