Best to surf just about 2hrs to an hr from high tide as has nice little sandbars. Does get hollow too.

If you want to get away from everone come here rather than rest or if yr more experienced go to ledges.

shit - its the worst wave ud ever surf, packed with amazing surfers who never giv u waves, its also got a couple of loosers who wear ripcurl wetsuits who cant surf ,who are just always in the way,i wuld avoid this spot basically everytime and goto coney or rest bay

Turkey colonies - the fundamental difference between this place and rest bay is that the local cammels choose Rest Bay for the annual gathering when the crickets are rising.

i agree - the spot is packed with "hardcore" surfers who don't have a care for people just having fun.., i completely agreee with south wales ripper. i have seen the people in the ripcurl wetsuits and just snake, drop in on everyone and just cause havoc in the line up. i DO NOT RECOMMENT this spot to anyone. Also that ledges wave it the most unconsistant piece of crap i have ever surfed which breaks over sand .... pure close-out.
