Access
Access into Gaza requires transit through Israel and a special Israeli Army Gaza Permit that is near impossible to get. Once in Gaza, any taxi will take you to the Al Deira hotel and the break is right out front, next to the harbor.
Please note that because of infrastructure damage to the Gaza sewage treatment system, all of the untreated sewage for Gaza City is currently pumped in to the sea at the Gaza Harbor. Until this situation is changed, IT IS EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH TO ENTER THE WATER! Do not surf here!

Atmosphere
Gaza is a war zone, plain and simple. There are a few of us that travel in and out of Gaza on a semi-regular basis, but our movement and ability to cross the border is derived from years of building the right contacts on both the Israeli side and Palestinian side of the border.
If you are interested in getting into Gaza, or helping out with the surf-based initiatives there, please contact the experts first. This place is not a joke.
Feel free to contact me directly with any questions at m.olsen@explorecorps.org
