Sit around the middle of the beach at a smaller swell and to the far left or right on a large swell.
Atmosphere
A fun waves that you can get quite fast long waves at times. The closest to any decent break in the U.A.E.
General
If there is a decent swell and the wind is offshore go down. Its quite far out so its probably only worth the drive on a good day.

SECRETS OF DUBAI - Ok for anyone that cares after around five years in dubai here's the lowdown, there is surf it never really gets above four foot.it is generated by local winds called a shamal they blow for upto four days at a time and need to be 15+ knots from the N/NW there are several web sites that will help www.stormsurf.com go to global then figure the rest out yourself its the most reliable thing we got, also theres a webcam on the burj "www.dubaicoastal.org" you can check the winds by calling 043499666 if you have any doubts get in touch with the sods thee a good group.the biggest secret is most shamals will blow strong until about 2 am if you drag your arse out of bed at sunrise you will find some nice clean offshores best i've seen was four foot offshore "but expect plenty of dissapointing days"have fun go hard and i hope palm island creates some good breaks instead of ruining them.if it does keep us updated cause i'm leaving today.
