Long right hand point break that will break on a strong South or South East swell. Long walk down beach below the high tide line. Limited parking in lot above.
Atmosphere
Rarely breaks unless a decent sized swell. Will break bigger than Malibu usually, but mushier. Good longboarding spot, long workable rights. Some rocks to watch out for on the inside. Locals are usually not super aggressive but of course don't drop in on anyone and sit to the side. This place breaks so rarely that it's a limited resource and locals likely will drop in on you if you claim the set waves.
General
Go here to avoid the crowds at Malibu. It breaks so rarely that many people do not even check it. It takes a little bit of effort to surf here.

latigo - This place is soooo lame. It is infested with those stand-up paddlers(I counted 8 one time).... it is a pretty picturesque point, though. Its not even thet great of a wave for shortboarders. Imagine gettin vibed by rich, childish, stand-up paddlers... what a joke!!!

I've been clean for six weeks! - I haven't picked up any diseases from surfing except from this spot (papiloma), and for such a crappy, sloppy, bumpy, slow wave! The other day, walking up the point, I saw eight urchins just floating around in the shorebreak . . . so you should all probably just quit surfing. Also,, if you're thinking of going down to Salsipuedes don't bother, it's totally closed (6/3).

latigo is a joke!! - I agree totally with the previous post.
This place is totally overrun by Janitors
(Stand-up paddlers). Bunch of old, stuck-up pricks!! Lame wave except for 5 days a year. They can have it!!
