About 15 minutes north of fort bragg and a few miles before you reach Westport(wages creek). You can see the spot as you ascend up the 101 coastline. It is easily accessable as you wind down to the bottom of the coastline, turn onto a dirt road(before you start to ascend again) that brings you to the beach(50 yards). This beach is free and you can drive on the beach plus camp for free. Locals are friendly.Sessions here can help you forget cities even exsist. Senic view and redwoods as you surf the coast
General
Had some epic days here........Winter can be relentless so BE CAREFUL.
Summer is usually the best because Blues picks up anything out there. Days where it is flat elsewhere it can be 3-5 at blues, easily.

great to have "blues" here - this spot is, easily, one of the best breaks along the mendo coastline, and, also, one of the gnarliest. there is a shark danger here, and, after the beach made headlines in aug. of '04, many people became skeptical of paddling out here. that's great for us locals, we have more fun here anyway.

- I go up and surf mendo during the summers. This is one of my favorite places on earth, and the waves can be tons of fun. Blues can get great waves (with a real punch) but it is one of the heaviest shark vibes I have ever felt...

Blues - Wedge peaks on crossed-up swells are the best. Don't surf it often, but never had a bad session there. Sharks? Just don't paddle out with the JAWS them stuck in your head and you'll be fine.
