This spot is good when a swell comes. I've seen it get bigger than Salt Creek on a North Swell. It can sometimes get good in the summer but not usualy.
Atmosphere
On a bad day people skimboard here but when a swell comes there's many surfers and bodyboarders out. You can get barreled almost every wave.
General
It can be really good. On epic swells it can get up to 15 feet (but that's very rare) usually it's about 6 or 7 feet when a swell comes.

- The one thing to look for before going to this spot is the tide. It troths up a lot. Where earlier that same day it was perfect for skiming head high waves onto the sand. Really intense barrel when it starts breaking deep water.

Aliso - 150 days a year? classic- rarely breaks, but it does have the odd day when it's on- I remember some classic photos of Smerk from the 80's on a big south, south side of the pier- oh yeah, the pier? I can't find it! Can't find Treasure Island anymore either...

Here's a spot that almost NEVER gets rideable! - Never mind the pure fact that it's a constantly closed-out shore-pound; if u paid attention to the hazards make a note 2 self concerning pollution! Only TJ slows is more polluted than this strong runner-up for So.Cali's crappiest waters!!
