Old Man Wave - For the most part, Bolsa is nothing more than a fun, cruising long board wave for old guys and gals.Epic surf days are too few and far between. High performance, short boardin' rippers are only waisting thier time here and should look elsewhere.

Sharky Lately - In the last six months, since summer, i have seen two shark fins cruising. I am not trying to scare anybody. I am just putting it out there. I bodyboard that place and i used bodysurf it, but since those two sightings, i only bodyboard it. By the way, they were sharks, not dolphins. After 15+ years in the water and swimming with dolphins in Tahiti and Caribbean, I know what a shark fin looks like and those were pretty big. I cannot claim that it was a great white; it could have been a mako, or who knows, but not dolphins. But Sharks for sure.
