Look out for that other surfer! Don't mind the local skimboarding kids if they start yappin' at you. For food, walk down S Coast Highway to a restaurant called The Penguin. They have great burgers and a fantastic breakfast menu.
Atmosphere
About 40% of the time it is small (1-4ft) but when a swell hits it can get big, 4-10ft. waves come in all over the place. It is a very steep drop with boils and your not lucky, a closeout barrel. Look out for other surfers and don't cross the black ball flag. Others days it is still fun. The locals like to hang around on the beach all day. Can get very slabby on the lower tides with big swells so fun for bodyboarders. Also, this spot is best glassy or with a slight onshore.
General
It is a fun ride for everybody to surf.
