The sandbars can be very good. I've surfed it as a fun longboard wave as well as a barreling down the line wave. It all depends on the sandbars. It blows offshore there a lot.
Atmosphere
It's a long walk and paddle out to the line-up. The area is absolutely beautiful (National Seashore). There are sharks.

Fun wave, but kind of a spooky spot... Bring a friend, water and food.
