This place is the best with a good off-shore wind or when it is glassy. You can sometimes get in-out barels if you are in the right spot with the right conditions. This place is close to grandview and when it is slow there people drift over to this area.
Atmosphere
Some of the local surfers are dicks and think they own the beach but the mature people are chill. But don't cut people off, thats just a given. but, these locals have been there for years and deserve the waves when they come so stay out of their way.
General
Fun for bodyboarders to boost. kooks beware!

jaws.... - At the end of a normal flustrating session at the bluff i noticed a dead carcas on the beach. when i took a closer look at the body i noticed it somewhat resembled a flreshly dead seal, blocking out the smell i noticed the large teeth marks surrunding the enitre body. i mean, this things was ripped to shreds by something with a very large jaw and its not so comfortable knowing that there are large animals higher up on the food chain than us!

Can anything be done about this? - Grandview looked crowded so I walked North towards the next set of stairs. That was my first mistake. I guess this a spot called Seabluff and there is a group of renegade teens that think they own the break. I was in the water for about 10 minutes and 2 locals paddled up and asked where I was from. When I told them rancho Bernardo they laughed and told me to go f&^% myself. I didn't want to get into a fight so I paddled in by the stairs. There was another group of teens there who started to yell at me. I grabed my longboard and ran back to Grandview. I told a lifeguard what had happened and he said he would look into it. Hopefully he can do something about it.

Crazy Locals... True. - So I went to Ponto the other day and had a mediocre surf. I saw a whole bunch of great waves breaking down by the stairs to the south. I walked down and paddled out into a modest crowd. As soon as I got out there a guy with a mustache and another one with a blonde afro confronted me. Then they pulled out a dive knife, cut my leash, and told me to go back to the valley. No joke. After that I got into a fight with four of them near the shower.
