This place, like the rest of C-bad is tough to ride during tide extremes- it gets really slow on top but once you get going can be fun
Atmosphere
This is a great spot to bring your familly and chill out for a day during the summer. It can be a lot of fun on a sw swell - memorial day '03 it was glassy and barreling lefts all day long. But when its good so is the rest of San Diego. Watch out for sting-rays.

its mellow fellows - man i just kinda stumbled onto it, i have been surfing grandview alot and this is just north, north, grandview. the last few days just me and one other person, happy to share, it breaks off of buried rocks and has good shape, if this place is slow and backed off then whats fast and hollow? blacks...duh..so go there, me i like empty left barrels and uncrowded backed off whatevers. the patch as i call it now is great and i will be out there as much as i can, and i would be glad to share waves with anyone..rabbit

Surf no longer classic here - Bottom is ruined. Looks decent from the beach but once you are out there it is really slow and backing off. The local surfer's here have it dialed. They are doing airs and stuff. They are dicks though. I had a hard time getting waves here.I would rather surf my longboard at Beacon's beach anyway

I got punched over a 2 foot wave - What is up with those drugged out locals?
My girlfriend and I paddled out this winter on a pretty small day. 3 older teens harassed us for an hour and finaly one paddled up and punched me in the back of the head.
My girlfriend got upset so we paddled in.
She will not let me go back to this spot.
