Atmosphere
Pretty poor wave unless its gets some decent swell. Can be very fun and rippable, even if a bit mushy at times, and you can occasionally get really long waves. Almost always crowded.
General
Can be a super fun wave. Think of a really poorman's pleasure point, but mushier, less lined up, and with way nastier rocks.

crowded - I live within site of St Andrew's and find that in the winter it can be the most crowded spot in the area. Better off at reef rights if you can find it. The break is very nice at st. and's however and can be very tempting. Just watch the reef! Anyone who has seen it at low tide knows what im talking about.

hardcore - its called st. ands or st. andrews becasuse the neighborhood that was built there in the early 60's is named "st. andrews" i grew up there, it sucks most of the time, and now is way too crowded on even the small days to make it worth it... too many dorks sit in the way..... oh, and that picture is not st an?s, its a tiny barrel that breaks for about a half hour on the right tide and swell called "the box".
