Not a fast moving wave but can get pretty big, medium speed, fun wave altogether. there are 2 reefs, the inside reef and the outside reef, both can offer fun rides. the inside is a very ledgey slabby bowl that breaks off shallow rock and is best at medium tide with a long right with multiple sections and a left that is downright gnarly. the outside is only good on very low tides and overhead plus and can throw hard if its perfect swell, wind, and tide... careful on the inside left, you can get messed up pretty bad if you dont know what your doing since the wave gets hollower as you ride it and eventually sucks off dry reef, ive known guys who have gotten cut bad including myself.
Atmosphere
watch the rocks. this beach is usually pretty mellow, the people, the waves, although they may get big there not that powerful, and watch out for lowtides, 100+ feet will leave six inches of water over a rock bottom.

Rockview - It really only gets fun in the winter when its overhead+. When it swells from the W/NW theres a really nice top to middle wall that wraps in there. Best on a Medium tide. Smaller than overhead, and its a warbly wave that can make you feel like youre surfing like an old man. The wave speeds up, then slows down, then speeds up, its like driving a car in between gears. And yea alot of carps surf there.

Donkeys Only - If you surf well and want to try and get away from the crowds ... Rockview will add to your frustration. The wave will let you down for quality turns and the donkeys ... well we all know what SC donkeys do?
