spot is farely easy to find. I won't name roads do to secrecy, but the parking lot overlooks the break. take a short walk down the trail and it will bring you right down on the beach. DistanceTake a car WalkShort walk (5-15 mn) Easy to find?OK Public access?Public access Special accessDon't know |

this spot is very fickle and it's hard to catch it when it's good. pretty much the only rides you will get is going left. the wave often closes out on set waves so choose wisely. BIG SHARK AREA! a lady kayaker was attacked just offshore, but she survived. and just north is the rivermouth where the sharks eat their lunch. only crazy people surf there.
Atmosphere
i surfed there once and i had an ok time. no one else was out and i still didn't get very many waves. the ones i did get were very short rides a few times the wave closed out over me. i dented my board in three different places. Some guy I met down at salmon creek beach said he surfed there with clean left hand barrels.
General
this place is fun but hard to do well at. very heavy wave.

great rock climbing - I wish this spot had great surf. The north side could work for some death body surfing right onto the sand. There is great rock climbing on the road to the beach. (Sunset Boulders) Salmon Creek has better surf.

Get goated or not! - South side was good in the late 80's. Now it is weak and unsurfable almost year around. A year or two ago it almost looked fun for a couple of days. Got a few lefts on both sides of the box. Sharks have been seen on the North side.

The Sonoma Goats Rocks is no secret anymore! - Why hold back with the names of the access streets when it's esier to find than the Golden Gate Bridge? I mean there's this Giant Goat rock u can maybe see from the Nasa Space Shuttle's GPS shots! The ONLY "dirty little secret" that remains about the local surf groms/ goat herders is what they do to those cute, young, female billie-goats after climbing up on their big, grazing-area/ mesa-rock to mess-around w/ them 'hottie' goats while they're grazing up in their native habitat - on smaller days when there's little or no surf - no need to tell ALL the grisly details beyond that! Don't let the comments fool u either coz this spot's alternate name is "the Napa-Sonoma-Mendocino tri-counties grapevine Pipeline." Man it fully spits & chews Bali-style long lefts on any swell & not only that but the waves break with full-on top-2-bottom tubes from start-2-finish! Spread the word by passing out flyers at Deadman's, Fort Point, Mav's, & Ghost Tree's whenever it's on; that should help to thin out the Nor-Cali Zoo-mobs of tourist surfers who pack the better-known breaks up north bro!
