DRAINPIPES - Drainpipes is located in front of the fairgrounds in Ventura. It is called that because there was a 6 foot diameter pipe with gushing treated sewage dumping right into the surf in the 60's. The sewage turned into clay and formed a wicked perfect peak if you could stand the stench. I couldn't but others could. It sure kept the crowds down!!

Pipes - There may be a place called pipes in Malibu, but there is also a "pipes" in Ventura. I have surfed there just about every weekend for the past few years.
