this spot, which is between the jetties, will only break on a 12+ foot SE swell. The swell will bounce off of the point and create a nice but short left point break. its pretty legitimate when it breaks but then again when does surfside get a 12 foot swell...

heavy wave... - Yeah,40ft plus is the best. Kelly [Slater] and myself surfed it during a full moon. Sick left/right breaking barrels...have to take your fins out or they'll hit the rock bottom and snap...take the leash off too...it will get snagged and you'll drown. Gnarly brah, watch out for locals.
