So, you turn into Hapuna State Park, and when you get to the gate with the parking lot, do not turn in, but keep on going straight. You will see telephone poles and numbers on them. The one that says 69, there will be a rocky road turning towards the beach, follow it.

808state - It's a good break. Not as good as pinetrees though. They bay was a lot better before they paved it. Stupid tourists.

69's got paved... - suck huh? fat white tourists...and the break sucks, too. go to pine trees instead

By smokin rock , 20-04-2006

69's - waialea is the name of the bay adjacent to the break, not the break itself. also the "69" is a number on a telephone pole not a mile marker. there are no mile markers on the little side road you access this place from.
