Bobo's is on the north shore of Kaua'i. Northshore - very near Ke'e Beach which is at the end of Haena road. Walking distance from Ke'e beach, or just park near Cannon's surf site and move down north. The land area fronting Bobo's surf spot used to be a nudist colony in the late sixties/early seventies - it was called Taylor Camp. This surf site is named after Stanford Morinaka, aka: "Bobo Satomo". You must be a good goofy foot kamikaze surfer,like the guy that it was named after. Just stay deep and high in the tube. You could ride it backside, but you gotta be hot to do it.
Atmosphere
It's a wicked place when it's big, and very shallow as the wave is breaking on the reef, maybe about six to eight inches deep.

It's a super hollow, fast tube ride. It's a goofy foot dream.

Bobo - I never surfed this place
But I knew Bobo...the wahine Bobo..never knew the other guy I went to school with Titus... Kapaa... Carlos sister an I have the same birthday 07/30.... I kinda remember lucas.... remember joe bauguess? kauai surfboards behind otsuka service... speaking of otsuka service ...remember raymond fernandez? he pumped gas at otsukas 76 station, was a custodian at kapaa school and also was the projectionist at pono theater in kapaa... yeah ... wasnt crowded in those days.... princeville was a cow pasture... i can remember going out to middle of the bay alone with nobody out on a good day...same with cannons... been on the west coast now for 28 years though .. talked to mitchell alapa a few months ago first time in maybe 30 years... yeah back in the day....hanalei at 10 feet with three guys out...imagine that!.... used to body surf inside waiohai... imagine that ! used to surf mahelona bay... thats right mahelona bay...imagine that!

about dat wahine name Bo Bo - oh how dea dat wahine Bo Bo pass herself off az da one who da surf spot is name afta! No wayz! Dat wahine BoBo was one dirty naked hippie living in da naked white commune called Taylah Kamp in Haena - check out her nude pictahs on the internet. I tink she wuz called Bobo Hawk or sumtin ladat. Yeah, jus one dirty naked drugged out hippie livin da free love style and druggin out, leavin her kid with somebody for watch um. She said so herself! Poor ting da kid. Now she stay old, and telling her lies for pass herself off as da surfah! HahHah!! Jus a big BS to all da gromme kidz so dey will look up to her!
