Park on the Bluffs over looking the break. Walk down the trail to the water. The walk down to the water is more dangerous than anything in the water. Lock up your valuables and don't leave anything in sight. This is a great clean wave. Kind of reminds me of steamers.
Atmosphere
I've watched whales breach on perfect overhead days less than fifty yards from the lineup. I've heard whales under water. I've had some of the longest rides of my life. The place is beautiful.
General
This is a great break when it's firing. Truly world class.

Heart Attack Man - surfed Subs in early march. only area working. take off was head high and an easy wave at this size and long enough for a few turns. Getting in and out was the tricky part with the rocks.

to Madiba - You can expect massive crowds, with very little reciprocation. Hard core locals are very aggressive and combative. However, even the leftover waves at Honolua that no one else seems to want are outstanding.

Heart Attack Man - Surfed Subs in early March. Head high and easy take off. Wave length good enough for a few turns. two other guys out and friendly. Getting in and out was the hardest part due to the rocks. Beautiful bay.
