Go down Kapiolani park next to Diamond Head (towards hawaii kai). Drive on Monsarrat closest to the beach. Turn right. When you get on the road that goes around Diamond Head towards Hawaii Kai turn the first right. Then drive all the way down that street (short street) and make a right. Then you will see a beach access. Paddle out between the poles stuck on the reff and the wave farthest to the right. This is for experienced surfers only. If you go here be careful!!! Winches is a fast, hollow wave that breaks in shallow water. It can get good but the wind usually messes it up. Just like any other break, on the right swell direction and on the right tide it can be very fun. The nice thing about this break is that there is usually no crowd. It's usually just you and your friend and possibly a few mellow bodyboarders. Everyone else is at tonggs.

It's "Winch" not Wench. - I'm with Kawika on this one. Wench? Figures comming from an Outrigger member. Probably a grom.
