New groins - Thanks to a gazillion dollar post-Sandy program, all the groins are currently being built up and extended. This has caused some unpredictable shifting of sand bars but less rip. Locals say more than a few have taken their eyes off the jetty only to meet the rocks up close. Recently saw a guy on dawn patrol come out bleeding and a longboarder crack his board last week. Stay aware of the now larger groins.

good beach - this place is a good place to learn on a short board not so much on a long board this wave is fast and you need to know what to do

surferri122492 - to add to what i just said, experienced outsiders are welcome if they come with a good attitude and have the aility to share waves. Surfing isnt all about completely dominating and ripping waves, its a learning experience. Also this spot doesnt suck, i have surfed cali, hawaii, mexico and puerto rico and lb is 1 of the better places out of those u just gotta knw how 2 ride it
