Don't trash your board at low tide - Surfed DP and Trailer for 8 yrs when I lived 3 blocks away. Plenty of kids wouldn't pull out soon enough, riding the slop in too far. You end up in 1-2ft of shallow, rock strewn water. Plenty of broken fins each season and more than a few cuts and bruises.

crowded - rocks are small compared to all breaks to the east, not much of a factor but this spot is usually super crowded unless its the winter. Even then it can get packed. long lefts on an east swell.

do not fall! - better beware of the rocks at this spot. i've spearfished the area and walked through on low tide and let me tell you--i would not be surfing much more than 50 yards east of the ditch jetty, the bottom is too irregular. not worth the harm that the rocks can do to body/board.
