Just a fun wave. When it was dumping up north i went there and it had long lines that were funneling into a hole.
Atmosphere
Friendly some local kids like Dave Woegens, Jesse D, Matt D, and Joe Ochanas rip it up but there realy friendly.
General
Fun, breaks really well.

sandbar keeps shifting! - I surf Normandy beach all the time. This year 04 it has not been holding well at all. Normandy shores was the only decent sandbar in early to mid summer. Later this summer I found that right out front of sixth ave it held up pretty well. And finnaly one of my favorite spots there started to work, Pennicinis left. Normandys fun but i think going north to the jetty breaks is your best bet.

i live here - i have a house on 3rd street in normandy beach. the little crowds that come usually come at 10:30 ish. theres usually nice sized waves and the people there are friendly. Best time to go is like 5:00 because there arent really people on the beach and the life guards leave about that time.
