Very Busy during day, watch out for under water jetty. This sport is at the end of the island, at the begginning to bird sancuary. It is best with a nor'easter, which results in lefts peeling into a little cove. First timmers, scope out the scence. When it's firing the lefts peak outside on beach one then reform at the tip of the wooden jed then mellows out until it bowls up again at the tip of the suicide jed. Watch out at lower tides there are wooden planks as well as metal debris ( shopping carts, old pipes) it didn't get its name for nottin... It takes balls to shootit but well worth the reward of another 100 to 300 m more ride to the beach.
Atmosphere
Show respect and you will be respected and maybe given a few waves. If you're not experienced start else where and practice. Your time will come.
General
I like this spot, it is nice but the bugs will get you. Fishermen cast their reels where you surf.

- Watch out for the submerged rocks aka "the boneyard" to south of the wooden jetty. It'll eat you alive. No joke bra.

LOCALS ONLY - I went to wooden jetty this summer and the waves were pretty nice about chest high and glassy. me and this other guy surfed it for about an hour by our selves. There were also two kids that paddled out and dropped in on me and the other guy on every single wave! the kids werent that bad though they ripped pretty hard, but they were fucking pirates as i left i found my car broking into and i was missing 50 bucks the kids didnt say anything but f**k so my advice would be to either stick to holyoke AVE or Taylor AVE or jsut be cool to the kids if u see em.
