 Additional Information

This spot is very very rare, but if you get the right day and everything falls into place the river empties into the Atlantic during a neap tide on the 3rd weekend or so of september every few years due to the position of the moon. The force of this water and the right ground swell coming off the ocean creates a massive wave which is actually very easy to get to by just paddling out from the rocks North of it.

Anonymouths - Sakonnet has 3 breaks: Harbormouth- 300 yds. north, hollow left ledge breaks in 20', then flattens. 2. Taylor's Lane- endless sectiony left around point (locals? flatten tires, so boat from Newport). 3. Fogland- mysto left slab against private estate, tubed, then thrown up into hayfields!
