Additional Information
Just your normal beach break. The sand bars can get pretty deffinitive, which really isn't a good thing. big wave events in the fall will flatten-out the bars, and offer-up some surprisingly fun waves when the wind backs-off.

Atmosphere
This is the only place that will break in the Duluth area from June to September, however menial. If you're waiting for the swell to build, when the paddle-out gets too much, then the North Shore will be breaking.
1st Turns has a deffinitive peak, as does the School House. Drive to the end of the road and the water gets a bit deeper, and the waves have a bit more power.

General
Certainly a beginner wave, but can produce some incrediblely fun beach break when the wind dies, goes SW or if it's a straight-north wind. Always a good place to meet-up with other surfers, though.
