Take HWY61 north from Duluth, about 18 miles. Look for Tom's Logging Camp on your left. Immediately look for Stony Pt. Rd on the right. Turn onto the dirt road. There's a "parking lot" where the road turns left. Pak there. If you park on the road, the neighbors get restless.

Atmosphere
Typical Lake Superior crowds; lots of stoke, good waves, followed by a few post-session beers. There's no aggression at all to speak of out there, just everyone enjoying the moment.
Expect blizzard conditions when this place is breaking.

General
Hands-down, the best left on the Lakes. Long, long, long wave. It's quite a hike to get back up the snow covered hill, after your session. Get out before your feet go numb.

SO STOKED - To the surfers of this spot, you dudes are pretty fricking cool. Its funny that you need to get to fresh water to find the soul in surfing again. My favorite part "There's no aggression at all to speak of out there, just everyone enjoying the moment". I surf La Jolla reefs/Blacks and have been my whole life. It is a bummer to see what has happened there. If any of the boulders lokes show up in La Jolla just tell me where you are from and anyone of you can have any of my waves, anytime. Keep surfing
