This joint breaks on some strange circumstances. In the Fall, look for big NW winds, preferrably a gale. The Left is a treacherous paddle-out, where if you mistime your paddle, you'll end-up washed against a rock fishing pier.
Look for HUGE, prefferably a STRONG gale or Storm-Force winds out of thew W or SW to make the beach break work. It must be +10-14ft off shore for waves to wrap in on a W/SW. But when it does, it's beautiful.
