Make sure to pay for parking. You will get a ticket. Don't go out if you can't paddle out. Lots of hidden rebar for those who decide to jump off the rocks.
Atmosphere
CAUTION: Lot's of localism here. The spot is getting busier each year. On warm days there can be up to 35 people here.
I have seen multiple fights here and a few broken windows. Stay away if it is crowded. There are a few locals who are total jerks and if you start a fight with them, they have many friends that will back them up. It is sad that this kind of crap is happening on a lake. There are also a few extremely nice people. Just don't drop in or snake anyone.
The local industry is very polluted. You are guaranteed to come out of the water with eyes so pink it looks like you are stoned. Lots of people have complained of sore throats and ear infections after getting surfing here.
Otherwise, it can be a super fun spot during the right conditions.
General
Not the best spot on the lake, but not the worse. Being close to the city can make it busier than most lake spots.

When does this place go off? - You must have to have one hell of a wind to get waves. How many people are actually in the water for this place to be a locals only spot? i would love to see pictures!!!

Just like ... - The Waimea of the Great Lakes for sure. If I had a nickel for every time I saw this place spitting out 2x barrels while the winds were screaming offshore, I could quit my job ...
