Park in City lot at far south end of Beach, close to the Camp Pendelton Fences. Best sand bar is here, offering lefts and rights. Northern end is also good with a jetty for long lefts. Best time of the year is always Memorial and/ or Labor Day.
Atmosphere
Great laid back atmosphere, no aggro scene to deal w/. Only problems is the summer weekend crowd gets thick. Probably end up running one or two kids over during a session.

- If you get there before 10 in the mornin the parking is free and even after that if your a Virginia Beach resident its only a dollar. Its less of a tourist attraction but there are still a lot of tourism. at least there is a surfing area to get away from most of it

Pretty good.... - Be careful of sharp sea shells near the shores. Pretty good place. A little crowded during weekends, but most of the time people move out of the way. Just watch out, crowded places mean people will hop on your wave. Don’t be pissed about it, it’s just a natural thing to occur with so many people. I notice on the south end, people tend to stay away. I’m not sure if it’s a “locals only” zone, but just be careful. Also, parking is 1 dollar for VA people, so this is much better than 1st.
