Maybe a traveling surfer or two will pull out a map, make friends with a local fisherman and get lucky enough to catch INSIDERS going off.

Additional Information
INSIDERS has been enjoyed by those who discovered it back in the mid-sixties. It is the same today as it was then.
A few surf searching souls have been blessed to stumble upon the spot but the masses never will.
There are absolutely no conveniences - NONE.
Big east/southeast swells create the only lined-up conditions, but winds must be out of the north. Any kink and you've wasted a rough, lengthy boat trip. On that rare day, when the planets are aligned just so, the wave is a 300-yard freight train running right through the bridge tunnel. But chances are, you'll grow old waiting. Crowds in this area are not a factor. It's so hard to get to this place, even though it is clearly visible from the bridge/tunnel, that few make the trek. In the early '80s, Matt Kechele and friends, on a run up the coast, stumbled onto the point doing its thing and parked their car alongside the road despite the signs warning steep consequences. After three hours of reeling lefthanders, the stern voice of port authority summoned them to shore. Luckily, their broken radiator excuse held water in the sweltering heat and they were escorted off the island. If you don't have a boat, don't even try it.
September - the BEST.

Nothing but sand, more sand, and OCEAN.Great fishing, bring a frisbee,a deck of cards,
food,water,and TRASH BAGS.First Aid Kit a must.
Cell Phone and have emergency numbers preset in case of an accident. ( Be prepared )
Watch local weather (Take a weather radio.)
During Hurricane Season don't take chances.
Leave before arrival or you will have to ride it out. We don't recommend this.
This spot is totally exposed. FULL IMPACT.

General
For an East Coast Spot it offers great surf and
a sense of adventure that "STOKES THE SOUL". Because it is a crapshoot of a journey be sure to carry along a great attitude. If you get LUCKY it will enhance the experience and if you don't score than your friends will
appreciate it.This spot is real and it REALLY TURNS ON sometimes
in late Fall.Shortboards will enjoy the speed and sections.Longboarders will enjoy the intense tubes, length of ride, vertical walls, and TIP TIME. Fairly easy PADDLE OUTS when it is under 8 ft.If you use a leash be sure to bring a strong one. The inside break is KILLER. Bring two boards.
To date as far as we know this place has never been photographed but once and those photos were
destroyed on an open fire the very next year. We have made our annual trek back every year since
1965 sometimes hitting sometimes not but the adventure is still the same. The best thing about this spot is that it hasn't
changed one bit. Sand, more sand and an Open Ocean to enjoy.
GOOD LUCK
