I'm a Cali-kook - Actually even worse a southern cali kook. I love the area of norte cal and Oregon it is beatiful in and out of the water no matter what the weather is I love it and this spot is good. I only surfed it once and it was 15 ft on certain sets and the sets where like 8-10 waves that shit don't happen down south if so rarely. I got super clean powerfull waves, the day I surfed it reminded me of home in oxnard on huge good days and even the time I surfed pipe. I got the beat down of my life thought I was going to die and think came close with the longest hold down of my life. This spot is real and its good I give respect to the guys who surf it always and its better that people go to the famous seaside wave so loc's get it un-crowed. Loc's please don't take for granted the lack of people, on a shitty day there are 100 dudes out in oxnard. Seaside is one of the best waves on the planet if conditions are good. But this place is a gem and I am stoked to have surfed it and hope to again there was one guy on the beach when I did and he was so fuckin cool, You Oregon guys are pretty fuckin cool for the most part ther are a few dicks and pigs but compared to my home it is fuckin middle america freindly neighbor shit. You dudes are lucky keep surfing the shit out of your spot here and keep having fun, one ? I got is how the fuck do you not think about the big jaws out there. Everytime I get around P. Conception I am always thinking about it, usually if the waves are good enough it gets put far enough back in the brain but still freaks me out that I never surf the long sessions that I want to.

WE ARE ALL KOOKS! - Dude-We are all Kooks at some time in our lives. It's when we can laugh at our selves that makes it all good. I wish it worked that way in the water everywhere.

Oregon's Most Popular Break - This place surpassed Short Sands in popularity a few years back. It is now the place to be seen, the place to party.
The wave is good when it works. On heavier days, the cove holds 8-10 foot swells. Just watch out for the dories.
