How's this place in the Winter? - Visited this place from Canada, Summer 07. Great people, fun waves. How is it in December through March? Most of Western Canada and Washington is a blowout that time of year, at least it is if you're on a longboard

Great Longboard Spot - Visiting from Canada, August 07, with a longboard. I thought this place was great. Good mix of waves, great for a longboard, really people.

Central Coast Beginner Spot - Mellow vibe until the conditions get really good or Agate isn't working. Lots of beginners out there and mostly a longboard spot.
Wind can be a factor. The channel on the north end can catch beginners off guard. Southwest swells aren't that favorable if I remember correctly. Fun spot regardless, just dodge the renters and you'll do fine.
