Additional Information
I'm only offering this spot to represent for Ore South. The bit about the distance from the car park is a joke if you've ever surfed here! Also, telling you that it's a 'public' place is a bit strange if you ever been to Oregon!

Atmosphere
I've been surfing here for about 3 years now and I can count the number of people I've experienced in the line up on one hand! I've taken some buddies from Santa Barbara way here and they were blown away....
You can't even see the wave from bay next to it. You've gotta hike along the cliff point, climb down the rocks and then you'll find it. If you like surfing in solitude, this is the place for you. Although you may be sharing the surrounding area with some of our finned friends! HA!

General
It's one of my favourite spots on the whole of the west coast and I don't mind sharing it...although I'll be very impressed if you find it with the directions I've given you alone!

Whaaa??????? - I live in Coos Bay, and if you are trying to throw people off the track of a perfectly good reef here that breaks about 3 months out of the year, you did a pretty good job. Insert 3 miles for 3 hours and you'll be a lot closer. The shark factor on the other hand, was understated. Nothing like surfing in a sea lion rookery to put the men in grey suits on your ass.
