Additional Information
Bring your rip stick and some booties.
Long permanent wet cold beach except for summer time and even then sometimes.
Dead fire works everywhere, driftwood, tons of seals in the water, but really nice on those sunny warm days.
Pretty good on those good days. Best with offshore wind.

Atmosphere
Many a time I have pulled into ledgy little barrels. Here the view is awesome and it's a great place for a dawn patrol and a late afternoon session after the wind dies down, and the sun-sets ! It makes me feel like I'm in the islands.

To Question - No, the Jetty and DP are 2 different spots. You assume correctly.
The Jetty is located at the end of Ocean Shores, and marks the north end of Grays Harbor.
DP, as you already guessed, is inside the harbor...about 1/2 mile inside I guess...and breaks on a long spit of sand.
Jetty---better in Summer.
DP---look for big S or SW swells with N to NW winds, which blow offshore there.
You'll probably get skunked on either, unless you live here.
