Really any where you can paddle out. There are hardly ever more than a dozen people out unless the waves are really going off. The waves are far far from world class but have been big. I have seen them to about 5 feet after a hurricane came thorough. The locals are friendly unless you get in the way or disrespect them or the beach. There is a parking lot and lots of parking around the area. Great food st South Beach Grill too if you get hungry.
