Similiar breaks through the base. Breaks a lot faster and steeper at low tides.
Atmosphere
Lots of kids that charge. No crime. You can leave an extra board right on the beach and no one will mess with it.
General
Good spot. Nothing fancy. Fun when its big, and good for the girlfriend when its small.

One of best spots in Florida. - Perkins is not only one of the best surf spots in Florida, but is one of the only rideable reef breaks around here. This spot breaks with the nicest form, and power generating barrels with boost worthy waves. The review of this break is completely mis-scored, and if you can find the place, definately surf it. Sea turtles are everywhere at this place so turtle lovers be aware!@! These turtles taste great in stew. Perkins is clearly one of the best surf spots in Florida.

HAVE FUN - This place breaks totally different since we have had all of the hurricanes come through. On a good day it can be very powerful and very fast. The hurricanes washed away a lot of sand so there is actually a rock shelf in the water to the left of the building. My friends and I surf here at low tide and we have all hit the rocks.I dont think this is a beginners spot at all. Have fun finding it since there is no Perkins there anymore

perkins - perkins is usually one of the better spots on a hight tide. this definatley isn't a beginners wave because the bottom is mostly rock and it can get very shallow
