Nice occasional right sandspit point at the south end of Pawley's Island. Park at the south end. Fickle, but can work well on east/southeast groundswells. Hollow at low tide. Can be really sharky, as well as full of jellyfish and bluefish. Don't drop in on locals here, or you may find your car vandalized or your face smashed in -- or both. - Rips / undertow
- Sharks
Just park your car and Check out the waves. If the tide is high surf the jetty if it's low surf the sand-spit.
Atmosphere
Very fickle, surfed it good only a couple of times. Can be like a point break. Watch out for the sharks and blue fish and kayakers.
General
Fun wave, check it at low tide coming in.

South End - If you want a definition of inconsistant then check this place out. NEVER CHECK IT HERE ON ANY GIVEN DAY! Only works when the winds are light, the tide is low, and there is a good sized south-east swell coming in to wrap around the point.

sandspit right? yeah right - all of the breaks on pawleys island suck and are over rated. The south end breaks just like all the other beach breaks around here. weak and mushy. the idiot who said the locals will vandalize your car couldnt be more wrong the only people who surf here regularly are a bunch of 50 somthins on long boards. Bottom line, this place is no different than any other crappy south carolina beach break
