my backyard - this is my local break.. all the posts are right- skimboarders fill the waters.. along with fishers and kit surfers.good waves are hard to find here but if you actually get a decent ground swell it can produce a good shorebreak that can be fun for practicing tricks

youtube dania beach surfing - there's some video of the break at waist to chest. you can catch some rides to the beach on some days and like any pier, can have some really hollow takeoffs near the pilons. the girls are really cool here...
