Additional Information
Cacimba is the Brazilian version of Pipeline! This is a fast, hollow and very powerful wave that requires a high technical level from those willing to charge it in a big day. The guy in the pictures is a top 44. In the day those pictures were taken he was one of the only ones having fun there. The other guys in the line up were only experiencing Cacimba's heavy lip in amazing head-first-drops and broken boards.

Atmosphere
Relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Localism is inexistent. The whole population of Fernando de Noronha is directly involved with tourism. Local surfers are people who work in the island’s hotels, rent boats, guide tourist, etc... Therefore, you will probably have already met some of the local surfers by the time you get into the water.

General
The bottom of Cacimba do Padre as of most other spots in the island is formed by flat rocks covered by sand. Northern swells start to break in the island by November. However, it is during February and March that waves get into their best formation, as the waves have excavated the sand from the bottom.

Answer - Just one information to Paco: we paid all our debt in 2005, and to Philip: you can't say anything about protecting because you can´t protect your own vegetation, and the majority of our problems started when the portuguese arrived in our contry, so it's not our fault. "hot brasilian surf chick" was just saying that we don't need people of ANY country who disrespect Brasil and incentive the harlotry, but who don't do this is always welcome. (sorry for bad english)
