Paradise - I was sailing around the world for the last 4 years, stopping in the S. Pacific, Indonesia, australia and Africa ect. Out of every where I have been this place (fernando) has waves that compare to tahiti and Fiji but in a cheap friendly atmosphere. Easy places to stay, easy to get around and get out to the waves. No long paddles, warm water, BEAUTIFUL women and a fun low key vibe. Absolutely the best place I have been yet. Going back as soon as possible.

Beware of localism ! - I,ve being in the Island during the last days of October. The place is like paradise, beautifull beaches, water, longboarder girls(gatas), & fine waves. In this beach during the morning, every thing is cool, there is much respect for surfing and waves, but during de afternoon from 14:00 local time, local surfers from the bar at the beach (the one that´s nearer "the morro")can bother you a lot, even hurt you with their boards. It doesn´t matter if you are waiting for your wave, far away from the crowd, they will mannage, to throw you out of their waves. Are really THEIR waves ???
