From the mainland, drive to the east side through Saudade's avenue. Then, take the Lagoa da Conceição'side. After you get the lagoa da Conceição, keep drive through the Rendeiras's Ave. When you get the Joaquina's way, turn left to the asphalt again e go through Mole beach up and down the hill. When you see a canal, with boats and a great nature, you are near to the Barra's entrance. Stay tuned and just follow the cars so you will get the beach. Hotdog surf place, very easy to find. A lot of fishermen on this beach. It is a plce to eat great food, meet simple and nice Florianópolis native people, learn hoe to surfe and contemplate de incredible nature around.

Well i lived across the beach, at a place called the backpackers (run by an aussie!) for about two months, this break is basically for beginners, but i have had some good waves , cooking little lefts and rights, fast and fun, if you walk about 200 metres up the coast, there is a sand bank, which works a bit better.

Accom by surf - Hey there jsut wondering what the name of that hostle is that is right accross from surf beach in barra da lagoa that is run by aussie...struggling to find it on the net.cheers

going to floripa dec 17. - what up out there. im going to be in Barra de Lagoa dec. 17-23, i was curious if some could point out some killer quality places to visit. i have contacted one guy there. but im looking for ideas to plan out my week there. hit me back with any info.
