Slow and mellow wave.
Untill 5ft is a beginner wave or longboard wave, from 6ft, start to be very nice and very long.

Is in a Bay, cause of that bay the wind is always offshore!!

Atmosphere

The wave is very easy, ideal for beginners. If a Swell come in than it became a funny and very long wave. Ideal to learn...
The locals surf here only if it's big, 200 m after there is the main spot of baia formosa. Pontal and they all go there.
You surf most of the time alone or with few local kids.

General

Baia Formosa is a secret spot. has a beach break, a left pontbreak, a hollow right and this mellow right.
There is no tourist there, only few brasilian tourist at the weekend. The locals are friendly, you have cheap fresh fish everyday and for the best accomodation ask for Dona Raimunda. Everybody know...
