Its really not a 4 star spot!! - I've lived 8 years in front of that spot, not in front of the pier since I saw it being built and being removed... When the pier was still up there was a 75% chance you would find some nice, opening fun waves...Many other days i would get there and waves were closing out. Now a days without the pier, i should say its one of the worst surf spots in rio!!! no more good waves...

no pier - there´s no pier anymore. the waves are still good, as it´s a good beachbreak (barra da tijuca) with good sandbars, but the pier used to help produce a nice sandbar.

what? world class? - Who ever says this is world class has never surfed a world class wave. please! this spot is a beach break that is rarely good. Believe me, I surf nearby almost every swell.
