very consistent.
you can always find some kind of rideble wave in frances, and with a bit of luck , you may find epic days of off shore wind and good swell.On a big swell this is a steep all out barrel with a big 'Sunset' type peak called 'Leprosia' out back.
Atmosphere
it has become too crowded more recently, especially when conditions are very good. it seems that everybody goes there!!!

There´s no shark in Frances - The guy who told about shark in Frances is wrong, in fact doesn´t know nothing about Frances Beach. Here we don´t have shark in surf area, sometimes we found some Dolphines. By the way, in whole shore of Alagoas we never had a shark atack. So, maybe this irresponsible guy is make a mistake with Pernambuco State.

Underrated - This spot's rating doesn't reflect reality. You should give at least 4 stars to Praia do Francês. That's the best surf spot in Alagoas and probably the best in Northeast (after the spots in Fernando de Noronha). That's the most consistent spot, water is warm the whole year, you can find lefts and rights, tube sections, walls where you can rip and try all kinds of maneuvers. The access is simple, the crowd, although the beach is crowded on the weekends, is friendly. There are many cheap places to eat, coconut trees everywhere, many inns and all those tanned marvelous girls walking around. That's the homespot of many Brazilian great surfers like Tanio Barreto, Marcondes Rocha and Fred Vilela, among others. All this considered, I kindly ask you to review your rating on this spot. Thanks.

frances beach - what are u talkin about man..you can find sharks everywhre..the question is if the sharks has been atacked the people..the enviroment in frances beach is equilibrated so the sharks keep their belly full of fish instead of human legs..we hav no problem with sharks at all
