- Localism
This spot breaks all year long, sometimes there are no waves but you can have fun on small days because it's a very powerful wave. It breaks better with northern swells but also with any other small, medium, or big swell.
There's have a safe place to park your car, it costs 50 cent for as long as you want.
Atmosphere
There’s a good atmosphere in Manta because there are lots of clubs, bars, parties, etc… People are very friendly.
General
The best bodyboarding wave in Ecuador. You can really fly on this spot and get some good tubes. The only problem is that it can get really crowded and you have to respect locals, but if you are friendly they will let you get some waves.

el escondido - el escondido is also known as "El rompe olas" as a result of its powerful and big waves and tubes. it's incredible to surf there and it is bodyboarders (especially the expierenced surfers)favorite surf spot.

Awesome wave - I really liked Manta, very friendly people and cheap. The wave is only a right and it forms out of the bouncing wave off the jetty, it's kind of a little wedge but it has power behind it, a lot of local guys but they are mainly cool once you talk to them and let them know that you are a foreigner. This wave is not for beginers or intermediate, I always felt a rip going on, and power, you could drop knee on a waist high waveI flew to Ecuador from New york My name is Louie
