Additional Information
A thick and ledgy two way reef peak. Best when big, from 6-10'. Needs a good combination of swell and no wind. Rides more like a beach break when small with shifting peaks. When big a peak shows up with tubes. Often closes out.
Atmosphere
Usually empty...but Peruvians are into trends in that some surf spots become popular for a year or so and then fall out of favor. Arica is largely underrated and overlooked.

Arica rocks!! - One of the best beach breaks near Lima (40 kms)... An amazing bodyboarder wave...not for begineers ... don`t miss.it...the 2006 bodyboard champ rides there.!

Arica in Lima - Beautiful peruvian beach break Arica. Like San pedro and Explosivos it tends to have lots of bodyboaders all year round doing huge airs.
