Take the turn off to Santa Rosa (poorly signed just before San Bartolo) Santa Rosa is the last point before the dry river bed (after which you'll find the spots of El Huayco and Pena Rosa) Park as far south (left) as you can - the parking right by the point usually requires a 4x4 to get in and out...but from the last easy place to park it is 2-3 min walk.

Additional Information
This spot works best when swell is West to North-West, a southerly swell will pass right by.
Although this is usually thought of as a Left it also has a good right. The wave can throw a fairly heavy lip, and as it is shallow water over boulders - care is required!
However, not one of the more dangerous waves in the area.

A fun and challenging wave. Sometimes hard to get to when the swell is big.

Geat wave - This is a geat wave. The left reels real fast and seems to start where Penascal leaves off. When the waves in the San Bartolo area are huge, it seems impossible to get out. I would not advise trying to paddle out through walls of 10 foot whitewash. I remember being soo bummed out when seeing this wave from the beach without any way to get to the outside. If attempted we would have just been thrown into the rocks. Penascal is another great wave in the area. THanks Peru for great memories.
