Best to surf it early in the morning and at a low tide. The takeoff is in front of a rocky headland, not too close but on a big day it could pose a problem if you eat it. Puemape is an eerie ghost town. Check out the buildings, they are made of mud bricks but instead of rocks in the mix it is crustaceans and mollusks. Looks like a town from Fistful of Dollars. A fun wave with plenty of juice. More consistent than Chicama.
